Background

When the founders of RiRo Sports, Rikit and Rohan, walked into The Oviyan Studio, they carried with them a frustration that every woman cricketer knew too well.

 

The women’s cricket industry was booming. Young girls were picking up bats for the first time. And yet, not a single brand had thought to design gear that was actually built just for them.

To fill this gap and build something that would truly have a lasting impact on the sport, RiRo Sports was born.

Branding Philosophy

We kept returning to one question: when a player walks onto the pitch holding RiRo gear, does the brand show up with them? Bold enough for the field. Confident enough for the shelf. Clear enough to speak for itself.

Guided by that idea, we built the brand across identity, website, and social media. To build early credibility, we also onboarded 10 ambassadors from across India, connecting RiRo with real players and cricketing communities while building authentic brand credibility.

At leading industry events like Maghreb Pharma, CPHI Worldwide, CPHI India, and Medico, The Oviyan Studio designed booth posters that highlighted Pharma Access’s global presence.

We also designed their engineering book, a challenging project that involved organising a large volume of technical information into a clear and concise format.

The WPL Moment

Then came the moment we had all been waiting for. A talented wicketkeeper-batter walked onto the WPL ground wearing RiRo Sports gear. We all watched it together, and there was this moment where the room just went quiet. Something we had built from scratch was now on the national stage. It felt unreal and completely earned at the same time.

Two cricket fans had been carrying this dream for years, and here it was: a real product, a real field, a real crowd. You cannot plan for a moment like that. It arrives when the work is honest and the purpose behind it is genuine.

Impact

RiRo stepped into a space that had simply never existed before and quickly found its place. When a brand is built around a real need, people recognize it almost instantly. The intention becomes visible in the work, and the work begins to speak for itself.

 

For us, this project was more than just another brand build. It was about helping shape something that could genuinely shift the experience of women in cricket. Seeing the brand move from an idea on paper to gear worn on the field is the kind of outcome every creative team hopes for. We could not be prouder to have been part of that journey from the very beginning.
